Welcome to the LionMan School of Rewilding. Your safety and satisfaction are our top priorities. Please review the following policies and agreement to ensure a secure and enjoyable experience for all participants.
Safety and Hazard Policies
1. Fire Safety
– Briefing: Participants will receive a fire safety briefing before engaging in activities involving fire.
– Designated Areas: Fires are restricted to designated fire pits or approved areas.
– Water Availability: Water buckets are provided at all fire sites for safety purposes.
– Safety Distance: Participants are expected to maintain a safe distance from open flames and adhere to instructor guidelines.
2. Wildlife Encounters
– Safe Distance: It is important to maintain a safe distance from all wildlife. Participants should not approach, feed, or provoke any animals.
– Reporting: Any sightings of potentially dangerous wildlife (e.g., bears, snakes) should be reported to an instructor immediately.
– Food Storage: Participants must follow guidelines for storing food and waste to avoid attracting wildlife.
3. Hiking and Navigation
– Trail Use: Participants should remain on marked trails unless guided by an instructor.
– Instructor Notification: Participants must inform an instructor before leaving the main group.
– Appropriate Gear: Suitable footwear and clothing for the terrain and weather conditions are necessary for all activities.
4. Water Safety
– Instructor Guidelines: All participants are required to follow instructor guidelines for safe swimming and boating.
– Authorized Areas: Swimming is permitted only in authorized areas and under instructor supervision.
– Water Conditions: Participants should be aware of water currents and weather conditions that may affect safety.
5. First Aid and Medical Emergencies
– First Aid Kits: Instructors are equipped with first aid kits for all activities.
– Injury Reporting: Participants should report any injuries or illnesses to an instructor immediately.
– Medical Conditions: Participants with medical conditions must inform instructors and carry necessary medications.
6. Weather-Related Hazards
– Activity Adjustment: Activities may be adjusted or canceled in the event of severe weather (e.g., thunderstorms, extreme heat).
– Appropriate Clothing: Participants should wear appropriate clothing and be prepared for sudden weather changes.
– Seek Shelter: Participants must seek shelter immediately if instructed by an instructor during adverse weather conditions.
7. Equipment Safety
– Proper Use: All equipment (e.g., knives, axes, tools) must be used as instructed and under supervision.
– Damage Reporting: Any damaged or malfunctioning equipment should be reported to an instructor.
– Handling and Storage: Proper handling and storage of all tools and equipment after use are essential.
Behavior Policies
1. Respect and Courtesy
– Participants are expected to show respect and courtesy to fellow participants, instructors, and the natural environment.
2. Harassment and Bullying
– No Tolerance: Harassment and bullying of any kind are strictly prohibited. Any participant found engaging in such behavior will be subject to immediate dismissal from the program without a refund.
– Reporting: Any instances of harassment or bullying should be reported to an instructor or staff member immediately.
3. Follow Instructions
– Participants must follow all instructions and guidelines provided by instructors.
4. Stay Informed
– It is important to stay informed about the potential hazards and safety measures specific to each activity.
– Participants should pay attention during class to be aware of any hazards.
Refund Policy
No Refunds: All payments made for programs and activities at LionMan School of Rewilding are non-refundable. By registering and making a payment, participants agree to this policy. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
Photography and Videography Policy
Right to Photograph and Film: LionMan School of Rewilding reserves the right to photograph and film classes and activities for promotional purposes.
– Consent: By participating in our programs, participants consent to the use of their image for marketing and promotional materials.
– Opt-Out Option: Participants who do not wish to be photographed or filmed must inform the administration before the start of the program.
Relocation Policy
Right to Relocate Classes: LionMan School of Rewilding reserves the right to relocate classes and activities with less than 24 hours’ notice due to unforeseen circumstances.
– Participants will be promptly informed of any changes in location.
